When I started Notes to Numbers, my vision was simple — to help students see math not as something to fear, but as something they can truly understand and even enjoy.

I hold a Master’s degree in Industrial Engineering and have taught mathematics both in private high schools and through Notes to Numbers. My experience includes everything from helping students build strong foundations to teaching senior-level courses such as Grade 12 Advanced Functions, Calculus and Vectors, and Data Management. Over the years, I have also had the privilege of working with students from diverse backgrounds, both locally and internationally.

While teaching, I noticed a common pattern: many students weren't struggling because they lacked ability—they were struggling because they lacked confidence. They had begun to believe they were "just not good at math." That realization became the foundation of Notes to Numbers.

My goal is not only to help students improve their grades, but also to help them develop problem-solving skills, confidence, and a growth mindset that will serve them far beyond the classroom. Through The Numbers Mastery Method, I combine structured instruction, personalized support, and meaningful reflection to help students build a strong foundation and achieve lasting success.

One of the greatest joys of teaching has been seeing students grow in confidence and hearing from students and parents about the positive impact these lessons have had. Those stories continue to inspire me every day. You can read more about their experiences in our Testimonials section.

For me, some of the most meaningful moments are when a student who once felt overwhelmed begins to say, “I can do this.”

A fun fact about me: I also hold a Bachelor's degree in Music and have taught voice, guitar, and ukulele for many years. My passion for both math and music even led me to research the impact of background music on attention and cognitive performance during my master's studies.

My Christian faith is what ultimately anchors me and shapes the way I teach. It reminds me that every student has value, purpose, and potential. What began as a love for math has become a calling to encourage, mentor, and invest in the next generation.

At the heart of Notes to Numbers is this belief: when students learn to trust themselves, they don’t just become better at math — they become more confident learners for life.
